Welcome to PlanBB. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PlanBB website and application (the "Service") operated by PlanBB Dev Team ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using PlanBB, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PlanBB is a kanban-style planning tool that allows users to create projects, organize tasks, and track progress. The Service includes both free features and paid AI-powered features.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create within PlanBB, including projects, boards, cards, and any other user-generated content. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

4.2 License to Us

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

4.3 Prohibited Content

You agree not to upload, post, or transmit content that:

  • Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
  • Infringes on any patent, trademark, copyright, or other intellectual property rights
  • Contains viruses or malicious code
  • Violates any applicable laws or regulations

5. Payment and Credits

5.1 Free Features

Core planning features of PlanBB are free to use without any payment required.

5.2 Paid Features

AI-powered features require purchasing credits. Credits are consumed when you use AI generation features.

5.3 Refund Policy

  • Unused credits: Eligible for a full refund upon request.
  • Used credits: Once any credits from a purchase have been used (regardless of the amount used), that purchase is non-refundable.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications

7. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

The PlanBB name, logo, and all related trademarks, service marks, and branding are the property of PlanBB Dev Team. You may not use these without our prior written consent. The Service's design, features, and functionality are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLANBB DEV TEAM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
